Ashlyn’s career trajectory initially pointed toward a life in education, but a pivotal moment in high school showed her a different path. Through an elective class, she encountered the allure of coding—which appealed to her because of her love for problem-solving.

Fueled by this passion, Ashlyn is currently a rising senior studying computer science at Cedarville University. Alongside her studies, she works as a software developer on Cedarville’s Campus Experience’s Creative Solutions Group. In this experience she is sharpening her coding skills and emerging as a leader. She’s spearheading innovative projects like BZ Commendations—a platform promoting positivity and recognition within the campus community.

Ashlyn’s journey to MichiganLabs was serendipitous. A chance encounter walking past our building sparked her curiosity, leading her to explore further. What she discovered was more than just a workplace—it was a culture of kindness, innovation, and growth. Drawn by the prospect of making meaningful contributions in a supportive environment, Ashlyn applied for an Associate Developer position.

Beyond her coding work, Ashlyn is a passionate music enthusiast. From playing the flute to leading worship at her church, music is woven into the fabric of her life. She's also an avid reader, a skilled writer, and a devoted aunt to her growing brood of nieces and nephews.
