Josh Friend

software developer

The first programming language I ever learned was BASIC. When I was 10 years old, my Dad and I spent a weekend cobbling together my first computer: a DOS PC with an Intel 486 CPU. I typed in 10 PRINT "Hi Josh" and knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

My computer doesn’t have a “TURBO” button anymore, but my passion for software development remains strong. Our customers at MichiganLabs bring us projects that give me the opportunity to work with and learn about many new and exciting technologies, which is what keeps me excited to come to work every day.

In my spare time, my wife Stephanie and I raise chickens in our backyard and travel around the country with our Newfoundland, Jasmine, working our way around the AKC dog show circuit.
