Amanda Clouser

Software Developer

My journey to software development started midway through my time at Grand Valley State University when I had a life crisis over not wanting to continue with the general business degree I was pursuing. So like every other lost soul in college, I changed my major. I settled on software development because it’s what my dad does, even though I had no idea what it entailed. After my first “Hello, World!” project I knew it was exactly the path I was meant to be on and throughout my education I found development to be the never-ending puzzle I wanted to solve.

After graduation, I began my career at BluJay Solutions as a Software Engineer working on a logistics software application primarily written in Java and really grew my skills as a developer in the working world. I am thrilled to continue my career at MichiganLabs and to be in a constant state of learning new technologies.

When I’m not at work, I’m often camping up north with my husband Kohl, kicking a soccer ball around with my dog Eleanor, starting a new quilt (but rarely finishing one), or chatting with my dad about the latest software technologies.
